They are between 5-8 inches as hatchlings and get to be around 16-32 inches as adults. They come from Central Nebraska North and West through South Dakota and into Montana.
This picture is not ours but again it show the beauty of this snake and how it holds up to its name. Even though they are small, they make up for it in color.
